Image

Hunts Sailing Club, located at St Ives, close to Huntingdon, Cambridge, and Peterborough in NW Cambridgeshire, provides class racing for Solo, Enterprise, Phantom, and Laser Class dinghies, as well as an all comers handicap. We are a very family oriented club, with youth sail training, and several multi-generation families, with father vs son, daughter and wives competition in and across classes! More details on the above, under the "Sailing" heading. Please have a look round our web site, and come and visit us for real one day!

Club Trophies Presented

The 2009 Hunts SC Club recently during the regular Sunday racing series.  A number of trophies and stone tankards were presented to Club Members who had achieved successes in their Class racing or seasonal series or competitions.  There will soon be a new section on this website describing every trophy and winners as far back as records can be found.

Phantom Open 2009

Hunts SC recently hosted a successful Phantom Open event, attracting 17 entries. It seems from the prizegiving photo that the winds were so strong that the top 3 sailors all brought a crew member with them!  Click here for results.

Women on the Water Update

Informal tuition for women members only, is happening every Tuesday morning starting at 10am. We will start by going through all the basics about wind direction, manoeuvres etc, and build up to everyone being able to rig up unaided, launch and land safely, sail a triangular course (covering all points of sailing), and pick up a man overboard buoy. Everyone can progress at their own pace, with no pressure to do things you aren't happy about. If you haven't already signed up and are still interested, you can read more by clicking here, or please contact Vanessa for more details: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
